Short Description:

A Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet established quality standards and customer expectations. They play a crucial role in developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve overall quality in an organization.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems and processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Establish and maintain quality documentation, including procedures and manuals.
  • Train and educate staff on quality control processes and standards.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities.
  • Monitor and evaluate suppliers to ensure they meet quality requirements.
  • Lead investigations into customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices in quality management.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Quality Control Methods: Strong knowledge of quality control methods and tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills to address quality issues.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadaership: Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a quality assurance team.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
  • Quality Management Software: Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Certifications: Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is often preferred.
