Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to program and set up CNC machines.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to design specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure precision.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers and programmers to optimize machining processes.
  • Select and install cutting tools and fixtures for each machining operation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Keep detailed records of machining operations, tool changes, and measurements.
  • Continuously monitor and improve machining efficiency and productivity.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in CNC machining.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Machining Tools: Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring tools.
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code).
  • Machining Materials: Familiarity with various materials and their machining properties.
  • CNC Machines: Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and precision in machining tasks.
  • Physical: Physical stamina for standing and operating machinery for extended periods.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuous learning and staying updated on advancements in CNC technology.
