An HRIS (Human Resources Information System) Administrator is a professional responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of HRIS systems within an organization. They play a vital role in ensuring data accuracy, system functionality, and user support for HRIS platforms. HRIS Administrators collaborate with HR teams to implement system updates, provide user training, and generate reports to support human resources functions.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in the implementation and configuration of HRIS software updates and enhancements.
  • Provide user support and training to HR and other staff on HRIS functionality.
  • Generate and distribute HRIS reports for various HR functions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve HRIS system issues.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in HRIS operations.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of HRIS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify the completeness and accuracy of HRIS data.
  • Support HR teams in the use of HRIS for recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and other processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in HR technology.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an HRIS Administrator or in a similar role.
  • HRIS Software: In-depth knowledge of HRIS systems and software.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail for accurate data entry and system maintenance.
  • Communication: Communication skills for user support and training.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting HRIS issues.
  • Security Regulations: Understanding of data privacy and security regulations in HRIS operations.
  • HRIS Analytics: Familiarity with HRIS reporting tools and analytics.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuous learning and adaptability to new HR technologies.
  • Certifications: Certification in HRIS or related areas is often advantageous.
