Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and staff.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.
  • Oversee repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in maintenance activities.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment for timely repairs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training for maintenance staff.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement and optimize maintenance procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and expenses.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree or certification in maintenance management is often preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Maintenance Procedures: Knowledge of maintenance procedures, techniques, and safety regulations.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage maintenance teams effectively.
  • Communication: Communication skills for coordinating with staff and other departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and optimizing maintenance processes.
  • CMMS: Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Adaptive: Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions under pressure.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies in maintenance.
  • Certifications: Certifications and technical skills in areas such as electrical, mechanical, or HVAC maintenance are advantageous.
