Short Description:

A Service Technician is a skilled professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment, machinery, or systems. They play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and performance of products or services, often working in fields such as automotive, electronics, or HVAC. Service Technicians are adept problem solvers, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to meet customer needs and satisfaction. Holds Class A 310T/S Certification.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, and maintain equipment or systems according to specifications.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs, replacements, or adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct routine service checks and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand and address their service needs.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support to customers or internal teams.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including parts usage and time spent on each task.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines during service operations.
  • Stay updated with product knowledge and industry trends through training and professional development.
  • Provide on-site or remote support to customers as required.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is often preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong mechanical or technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment related to the specific industry.
  • Customer Service: Customer service and communication skills for interacting with clients.
  • Agile: Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical: Physical fitness and dexterity to handle equipment and perform manual tasks.
  • Effiecient: Time management skills to prioritize and complete service tasks efficiently.
  • License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
  • Certifications: Certifications or licenses related to specific industries or equipment can be beneficial.
