A Supply Chain Analyst is a professional who plays a key role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations within an organization. They use data analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning to enhance the flow of goods and materials from suppliers to consumers, ensuring timely delivery, cost reduction, and improved overall performance.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain models and forecasts for demand, inventory, and logistics.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of suppliers, distributors, and logistics providers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and automate supply chain processes.
  • Optimize inventory management to balance cost and service level goals.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions in the supply of raw materials.
  • Improve supply chain visibility and transparency through data analytics.
  • Implement supply chain software and tools to enhance planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to improve terms and conditions.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement best practices and industry standards in supply chain management.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, or a related field.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis, statistical software, and supply chain management tools.
  • Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex supply chain issues.
  • Communication: Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Supply Chain Processes: Knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, production, and distribution.
  • Project Management: Project management skills to plan and execute supply chain improvement projects.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
