A Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting and hiring qualified candidates, ensuring effective communication with applicants in multiple languages. Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialists also manage job postings, review resumes, and provide a seamless candidate experience in both languages. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and proficiency in multiple languages are essential for success in this role, as they help bridge communication gaps and attract top talent across different language backgrounds.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Source and recruit candidates from diverse backgrounds using various platforms, including job boards, social media, and industry networks, in multiple languages.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and interviews with candidates in both languages to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Create and post job descriptions in both English and the second language across various platforms, ensuring accuracy and appeal to a multilingual audience.
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline of active and passive candidates for current and future openings, ensuring diversity and talent alignment with organizational needs.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring communication in both languages as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, ensuring all documentation is properly completed and orientation is provided in both languages.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements, providing insights on language and cultural fit.
  • Support the company’s employer branding strategy by promoting the organization as a diverse and inclusive workplace through bilingual outreach efforts.
  • Ensure that recruitment processes comply with relevant labor laws and regulations, including those related to diversity and equal employment opportunities.
  • Track and report recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate conversion rates, and diversity data, providing insights for improving hiring processes.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both English and a second language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both.
  • Recruitment Experience: Previous experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR, with a proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and source top-tier talent.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong people skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Cultural Awareness: An understanding of cultural differences and the ability to assess candidates for cultural fit within a diverse workplace.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage a high volume of open positions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with ATS Systems: Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software, as well as MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of Employment Laws: Familiarity with labor laws and recruitment best practices, particularly around diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity hiring.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the recruitment process.
